Certified and notarised translations

We also provide certified translations. A certified and notarised translation is one which is being certified by the issuing office or translator as to the accuracy of the information contained therein. Certified translations are normally also verified for official use by a notary public. Some common uses of notarised translations include:

  • University degrees
  • Medical reports
  • Court orders
  • Birth certificates
  • Marriage certificates
  • Divorce certificates
  • Legal judgments
  • Immigration documents
  • Wills
  • Diplomas
  • Adoption papers
  • Naturalisation papers

An apostille is an international certification comparable to a notarisation in domestic law, which is often added to documents that have been signed by a notary, lawyer or other public official such as a clerk to the court. It specifies the modalities through which a document issued in one of the signatory countries of the Hague Conference on Private International Law can be certified for legal purposes in all the other signatory countries.

Babylon Translation Service can legalise your translations by:

  • Providing a certified letter on our headed paper confirming that we have completed the translation. This is signed and stamped by Babylon Translation Service.
  • Providing a notarised or legal translation, signed and stamped by a public notary.
  • Providing an apostilled translation, stamped by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
